Most DisplayLink-based docking stations and graphics adapters will connect to a PC using a USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 port, though some do connect with USB-C. Download the latest drivers for your Plugable docking station or graphics adapter featuring DisplayLink technology. These drivers are not needed for our Thunderbolt™ 3 products, and our non-DisplayLink USB-C docks. Please note, these may not be the latest drivers , but they are the ones we recommend. Applicable Products.


NOTE: From macOS Catalina 10.15, the operating system requires the user to permit Screen Recording in order for DisplayLink based devices (like Plugable UD -3900) to work properly. The message is generated by the OS and the screen is not actually being recorded by DisplayLink.


9/4/2018  · Every once in a while it will connect with some site and say that there are no updates available and that I have the most recent software. But there is a new driver for my UD -3900 Hub as I see it. Do I overwrite the current driver or do I need to uninstall the old driver first? Any other things to do or setting to tweak before installing new …


8/22/2019  · Hi Mark, Thank you for posting! If your UD -3900 docking station is still working as expected then there is no further action needed. To expand further, the notification you received indicates that an earlier version of the driver may have been removed from your system, however it does not state that an updated version was installed automatically.
